London undercurrents  undercurrents is an extraordinary, designer curiosity shop close to old street. the shop is named after the favourite jazz lp of co-owner ina. it is bursting to its seams with furniture, lamps, all sorts of fashion jewellery and curious items. ina is part finnish and has made a profession out of her hobby. treasure hunts often lead her and her husband to scandinavia. undercurrents sells second-hand stuff of no particular brand, scandinavian wood products, designer lamps and collectors’ items such as ceramic sculptures by bjorn winblad. even design professors have searched here for inspiration with their classes. alternative east end celebs like peter doherty from babyshambles and house dj damian lazarus have rummaged here for rare items and unusual presents. the price range is wide and opening hours are not fixed. it is advisable to get here after 12.00pm.  undercurrents COMMENTS Your voice on undercurrents
