tresor club berlin was the first and foremost techno club in germany, if not the world. it opened 1991 in the former safe deposit room of the department store wertheim close to the former berlin wall and sadly was forced to close after 14 years. from the very beginning the club’s policy was built on quality dj’s, predominantly from the detroit and chicago scene. wednesday is headquarter-night, a talent showcase for young dj’s like eva cazal (photo). the tresor “true spirit” continues in exile on wednesdays at the club maria am ufer in berlin.
