sound of music

for years, the prince charles cinema is the hot tip for movie freaks with a limited budget. everyday the cinema screens four to five classical movies to the extraordinary low price of £2. on friday evening the true cinema goers get their money’s worth. at 19.30 the kitsch alpine classic ‘sound of music’ runs here in a full house. the show is a single sing-a-long, at which the audience roars aloud to every song thanks to the subtitles. before the drapes open for the three-hour spectacle, the purest nuns and the cutest alpine chicks are given a bonus for the best costumes. whose vocal chords are still alive after that singing marathon, changes into a more daring outfit. after midnight the legendary rocky horror picture show takes over at the prince charles.
