due to the great british weather skaters don’t get to wear their wheels and skateparks are quite rare in britain. those who want to skate or bike in london’s world-class ramps and obstacles, visit the playstation in west london’s ladbroke grove. directly under the westway flyover lies great britain’s coolest skate park, complete with streetcourse, mini and medium ramps and a fat halfpipe. in the playstaion not only amateurs batter their boards, inlines and bmx. every couple of weeks there are showcases with skater legends such as tony hawk, chad muska, willy santos and hardcore inliner iwe brian shima and bmx-highflyer matt hoffmann. the playstation is opened daily from 12.00 until 21.00. every four-hour session costs four pounds. on tuesday is bmx evening and at the weekend there are beginner courses from 10.00 until 12.00 with the british skating professionals.
