para para ![]() para para dancing is a strange dance. first you can only use arms and hands. second everyone moves the same. third they mainly dance to euro beat tunes. the result is awful and funny at the same time. para para maestro and inventor, miachi sensei, gives a class at every para para party. each word of the lyrics has a certain hand movement, which is explained before the song. para para began in 1985. although many cool japanese hate the dance, it seems to keep on going. even mickey mouse at tokyo disneyland learned to use miachi’s movements. para para starts every thursday at 22.30 at twinstar. ![]() ![]() twinstar public transport tube station idabashi COMMENTS Your voice on para para

"Towa really doesn't like interviews - and suggested to do the interview with his robot instead. It was a great idea, so we took his lookalike-robot for a taxi ride to our location. His plastic twin unfortunately doesn't move or speak yet though - but Towa promised he will tackle that challenge in the future too. "

"Cornelius is an amazing guy. And his studio might as well be a museum - full with figures and toys he picks up from Japanese toys stores that make the strangest sounds... and might end up in another track. If you listen carefully,m there are a bunch of unusual sounds on his track that came from toys. "
