garth jennings, dominic leung and nick goldsmith (in the milk carton) met at st. martins school of art. after graduating the three video directors set-up the production company hammer & tongs. funny madcap videos with simple animation are their trademark, such as the video for blur's coffee and tv which tells the moving story of a walking milk carton. fatboy slim's video for 'right here right now' explains the development of humanity in three minutes, from a simple cell to fat rich man. popstars such as travis, robbie williams, moloko and pulp have to have a good sense of humour to work with hammer and tongs. supergrass were transformed into pipecleanesque dancing puppets. the eels became animated carots and bentley rhythm ace had to play swingball (see london episode 21).
