greyhound racing

walthamstow is england’s largest greyhound racing course. there are fifteen races an evening. the dogs run at up to 50 km/h on the 450 metre course chasing behind a speeding toy bunny. greyhounds are trained from an early age for races. the betting office even takes really low bets on the swift dogs. betting professionals gamble big money at special booths. walthamstow stadium has a restaurant and three bars with a good view over the racecourse. races take place on thursday to saturday at 19.30, mondays at 13.00.
