under st. matthews church in brixton is where it’s at on weekends. situated underneath the church are a restaurant, a club and a chill-out bar. the bug restaurant offers modern european cuisine,  along with fish and meat specialities, vegetarian dishes are also available on the menu. at the neighbouring mass club, dekefex is held on the first saturday of the month. dekefex is all about hip-hop and drum & bass. the party crowd loves the location. the parties attract world class djs from the d&b and hip-hop scene. the club is divided into two big rooms. in the main room, drum & bass headz rave to live mixes by the legendary fabio and grooverider. in the other room, uk mc’s and djs like semtex reign over the crowd with hard hip-hop beats. every dekefex night features live hip-hop performances by foreign acts like jeru the damaja, rhazel or wu-tang members. mass is open on saturdays from 20.00-06.00.
