custom sneakers ![]() in the harajuku shopping quarter the ragout boutique makes customised sneakers out of materials you bring. ragout uses light coloured trainers which are dyed. the most popular designs are cheap prints of american cartoon figures that you can select in the shop. using stencils they cut out shoe-patterns. in the beginning they only glued the prints on. nowadays they sew them on by hand. the process takes 2-7 days, but if you ask politely you may get the next-day service. the ragout boutique also has vintage clothing popular with 15-22 year old girls for their harajuku cutie look. the sneaker service is also popular with boys. ragout opens daily from 11.30-20.00. ![]() ![]() ragout shop subway station meiji jingue mae COMMENTS Your voice on custom sneakers

"Towa really doesn't like interviews - and suggested to do the interview with his robot instead. It was a great idea, so we took his lookalike-robot for a taxi ride to our location. His plastic twin unfortunately doesn't move or speak yet though - but Towa promised he will tackle that challenge in the future too. "

"Cornelius is an amazing guy. And his studio might as well be a museum - full with figures and toys he picks up from Japanese toys stores that make the strangest sounds... and might end up in another track. If you listen carefully,m there are a bunch of unusual sounds on his track that came from toys. "
