London bootleg club  bootleg is the latest trend in london's club scene. it is also called bastard pop or mash-ups. the sound mixes songs from totally different music genres into tracks. club bastard is the centre of the uk bootleg scene. every first thursday of the month the club bastard parties happen at the asylum club. bootleg style has existed since djs first put a pop record on a turntable. the new club sound has only become popular since the beginning of the millennium. dj's such as osymyso, mix christina aguilera with nirvana. osymyso turns pop songs with the help of fat beats and ugly bass lines into a dark mash-up. asylum club is open from monday to thursday 19.30-03.00. on weekends asylum runs private parties.
